I think Korea has the best guilds in Taipei, Europe didn't get eserotic, Amerika didn't get pRp and Ep.
And Korea has the nr.1 and some hardcore [12 hours a day -_-'] guild called War Machine.
IMO, Korea has the advantage.

Er, didnt IQ beat Ep? Oh yeah they did. While Ep beat pRp.
Wed Jan 11, 3am GMT
Tues Jan 10, 7pm PST Eternum Pariah (1) defeated Patient Relaxed People (8)
Fri Jan 13, 3am GMT
Thurs Jan 12, 7pm PST Idiot Savants (5) defeated Eternum Pariah (1)
Why are you saying they have an advantage where the team that beat Ep, who beat pRp, is going to taipei and puts america at a disadvantge?

Apart from LuM going instead of EW, that is exactly how I predicted the outcome of the regionals.
And as for Korea having the better guilds there, it is very hard to say at this stage. I really could not say how the matches will go. Korean and American teams have very different styles of play, and how they interact with each other will be interesting. Korean guilds tend to focus more broadly on strategy and tactics, wheras American guilds tend to be slightly more experimental with builds.
(The exception being Arirang and their wierd ass builds.)

That part I completely agree, although I can probably see how it will go right from the start... but I can't see what is right after.
If anyone look at builds, those builds of America and Europe are much more similar than the Korea builds.
I just hope Korea won't hold both 1st and 2nd in the World Championship @_@

Korea are hardcore, all the other teams are WM fodder.
All of the players in WM got sick micro, its gonna take a serious build mismatch to take any ground, but i doubt any of the teams will keep their current builds so itll be a blind matchup.

I would appreciate if we could keep this thread to congratulating the winning teams.
On that note, congratulations to the winners of the regional playoffs.

I think the playoffs kind of proved that ladder success has little value, and those spikers you mentioned aren't better than the teams going now (spiking is newbish IMO), but you are right about the Korean advantage. Especially if the finals are played in LAN-like conditions I believe WM and Evil will be unstoppable. Ofcourse anything can happen, but I kind of doubt it.
Anyway, looking forward to see these teams in Taipei, and good luck to all :)
